ÁLEX MÁRQUEZ EIGHTH AT PORTIMAO, 10th NAKAGAMI
The first points in the Moto GP arrived for the LCR Honda team, which started the new world championship season and flow-meter™ also this year is at its side in this new adventure.
flow-meter™ will be the sponsor of the two Lcr riders, Álex Márquez and Takaaki Nakagami.
In the Portuguese GP Álex Márquez claimed his first points in LCR colours with a fine eighth place. Nakagami, instead, finished tenth. It is a good result for the Japanese rider, who during the second free practice session crashed in one of the fastest corners of the track, turn 1. Despite the physical pain he did his best to get back on track and after starting from the last row he managed to place tenth. Well, it was a really tough race, said Nakagami after the race, starting from last position and considering that we couldn't do many laps this weekend because of my physical condition”.
Márquez at the end of the race: “P8 is good - said Márquez - Good points for the championship, but also for the team as they did an amazing job during the Qatar tests and the Qatar races, but we were not able to finish those races. Finishing the race today was the main target. We know we can still improve, but in general I think we can be happy and proud of what we did today. Hopefully, this is the beginning of something good and we can now keep getting better and better. I want to thank my team for all the work during the Portuguese GP. We’ll now focus on Jerez after some time to recharge batteries.”
